

John Eric Button passed away in San Jacinto, California on Monday, December 2, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife and best friend Mary, his dedicated family, and his dog Lucky. John was born on Monday, March 11. 1940 to parents; Geoffrey and Linnea Button in Brooklyn, New York. John Button lived in Stockholm Sweden from the age 2 years old to 18 years of age.
John was a man who loved to have a great time and lived life to the fullest with no regrets. The Button home was always the place to be and he and his lovely wife Mary, were the greatest hosts. He entertained, made everyone laugh and BBQ'd for all. John was an extremely intelligent man and could communicate on any subject. He loved politics, sports, and could discuss current events with the best of them.
John loved to fish; both fresh water and deep sea. John's favorite were the trips to Cabo San Lucus. Life was good with John and there was never a dull moment at the Button home. He was the best "Papa" to his grandchildren and always provided for his family. John Button was a man with a kind and loving heart. John had a laughter that was genuine and warm. John always provided light hearted joyous moments for all around him. John was a man with great strength, against all odds, John beat cancer.
John will be greatly missed but forever loved by his wife of 44 years, Mary. To mourn his passing but cherish their memories will be his sons Steve, Clifton, and his daughters, Brandie and husband David, Jennifer and husband Michael, and Nicole.
Feeling a great loss as well will be his 9 grandchildren; Jessica, CJ, Kevin, Erica, Amber, Andrew, Linnea, Brandon, and Nevaeh.
In addition to his immediate family, John had two best friends who were like brothers to him; Darrell Miller and John Washburn. These two friends will forever remember John and the memories they created together will live on in their hearts.
Last but not least, his constant companion during his illness. The one who would not leave his side and was nearby at the time John passed was his beloved dog Lucky. Lucky was faithful to the end, protecting and caring for his owner. Lucky will forever miss John.
John touched many lives during his 73 years of life and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know him and who loved him.
John would say, "Don't worry about me, I'm fine, how are you doing?". John was always putting peoples feelings into consideration before his own.
Thank you John Eric Button, you will be truly missed but never forgotten.
