

John Earl Donaldson was born August 1, 1927 in Midway, PA. He was 87years old when he passed Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife Vera Donaldson and his three daughters; Linda Donaldson, Penny and her husband Javier Bazavilvazo and Tracy and her husband Don Lloyd along with 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
John was a quiet, honorable, giving, loving, strong, prideful man who was well respected. He served in the US Navy from 1945 until 1951. During his service he courageously fought in World War II and the Korean War and then was honorably discharged. After serving our country John worked at Armco Steel in Torrance, Ca. for 38 years before retiring.
John lived a full life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and various projects. His biggest project was the dream home he built in Cassel, CA. for Vera prior to relocating to Southern California to be close to his daughters and grandchildren.
The family will hold a viewing for all who wish to attend on Monday, February 16, 2015 between the hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Miller-Jones Mortuary located at 1835 N. Perris Blvd, Perris CA. 92571.
Immediately following the viewing, there will be a military burial service at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren, Riverside CA 92518. The service will begin at 1:45 p.m. sharp. Please note that promptness is required.

My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."
