

California. He was born on April 24, 1942, in Santa Ana CA. He was the son of the late
Willis M, and the late Phyllis B (Wiley) Fields and is survived by his older brother Gary
Fields.
John was a surveyor for nearly 50 years while being a member of union Local #12. John
was an outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting but especially fishing. (both fresh and salt
water). John was an avid golfer and had 2 holes in one, he also played softball and
bowled for many years. As a husband, father and grandfather he taught his beloved wife
Nicki, his two sons Michael and Steven and all 3 of his grand children, Derik, Alexa and
Jake all to fish over the course of the past half century. John enjoyed jigsaw puzzles,
watching westerns, (especially John Wayne) and was a big Elvis Presley fan. He enjoyed
baseball while rooting for the Los Angeles Dodgers he was also enjoyed football and
followed the Los Angeles Rams and the USC Trojans.
John will be missed by all that he came in contact with, but especially his family. John is
survived by his loving wife Nicki of 46 years and two sons Michael and Steven and 3
grandchildren Derik, Alexa and Jake Fields whom all loved him deeply.
