

Joseph Edmond LeBlanc, 86 of Sun City, California passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Joseph was born November 29, 1924 in Mexico, Maine and moved to Canada when he was a child. He served in the US Army, 787th Tank Battalion and was a World War II Veteran. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, EAMET Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. In 1984 Joseph retired from McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) after 25 years of employment. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1956. He loved watching his favorite baseball team the Los Angeles Dodgers and enjoyed watching TV comedy sitcoms. Joseph will be in our hearts forever and will always be remembered for his great humor, love and strength. Joseph is survived by his 2 children, son Ronald LeBlanc and daughter Patricia Thacker, daughter-in-law Sandra, son-in-law William Perry, 2 grandchildren Adam (Kerry) and Alison LeBlanc, 2 great-grandchildren Emily and Cole LeBlanc, 1 step great-grandchild Hannah Plank, 3 step grandchildren Mark, Leslie and Jennifer Thacker. Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife Martha. Services will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 8th, 2011, Staging Area #3 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, California. Following the Military Honors Services, Joseph will be laid to rest with his wife.
