Kenneth Edgar Davis Jr., 70 passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, in Hemet, California. Ken was born September 6, 1948 in Long Beach, California, to his parents Kenneth Sr. and Eva Davis. Ken, who was affectionately known by many as “Big Dog,” was a devoted husband and loving father of four children. In 2002 Ken met the true love of his life, Robin Shanks and realized that his life felt more complete with her by his side. On February 14, 2004, Ken and Robin got married in front of family and friends in Laughlin and enjoyed 15 wonderful years as husband and wife. During that time, Big Dog and Robin loved spending time together more than anything else, whether it was at church, going out on dates, or just hanging out at home. Kenneth was truly dedicated to Robin; loved her incredibly and took care of her when she was ill. Ken was a simple man, who was kind and soft-spoken and gave the biggest gentle hugs. When he was in a gregarious mood, you could see with his full white beard why many children looked at him with wonder, possibly thinking that maybe he was that jolly old man that dropped down chimneys. He was also a proud and stubborn man, who wasn’t someone you wanted to irritate and get on his bad side. Ken was a car enthusiast, who enjoyed auto racing, classic cars, and most things that had motors. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Eva. He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Davis, sons Brett (Christine) Davis and Tim (Kirsten) Davis, daughters, Kandie (Andrew) Moro and April (Angel) Rivero, brother Bob Davis, Sister, Nancy Garcia, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Big Dog will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
