Leona Joan Wooten

She was born on Saturday, November 19, 1932 in Gary, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Zajac and the late Marie (Eckert) Zajac.

Leona and her husband Kenneth celebrated 63 years of marriage in September of 2015. She was a past president of the American Legion Post 207 in Gary, Indiana. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary and Eucharistic Minister at St Josephs Catholic Church in Baytown, Texas, St Columbia Catholic Church in San Diego, Ca and St Vincent Ferrer in Sun City, CA.

She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth, sons, Kenneth Wooten and Timothy Wooten, daughters, Sheryl Wooten and Annette Wooten; 14 grand children; 8 great grand children.

A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church located at 27931 Murrieta Road Sun City, California 92586. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 22, 2016, at Miller-Jones Mortuary - Sun City, 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, California .
