

Lillian May Esslinger passed away at the age of 95, on Monday, July 27, 2020, in Hemet, California. She was born Saturday, July 11, 1925 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Adam Florence and Rose (Rodrigues) Florence.
Lillian was one of 5 children. She was a devoted Mother to 3 daughters. She was a loyal employee for the State of California, in the Employment Development Department. She had a vivacious personality and loved to dance. In her younger days she was a member of the USO and loved to dance the jitterbug. Hula came naturally as she was born in the Hawaiian Islands. In her later years she enjoyed Ballroom dancing. Lillian loved to sew and was an avid gardener and was outgoing and hardworking. She enjoyed life to the fullest.
Lilian was a faithful and dedicated Christian and a member of San Jacinto Assembly of God Church in San Jacinto.
Lillian is survived by her loving daughter, Jacky J. Excell; her caring grandchildren, Guy W. Excell and Shelley Excell-Wertman; her adoring great-grandchildren, Nicholas G. Excell and Zachary K. Wertman; and her siblings, Eleanor "Penny" Tesla and Clifford "Bud" Florence. She was preceded in death by her 2 daugthers, Judy L. Capehart and Joy S. Conoway, and her loving husband, William “Bill” Esslinger and 2 brothers, Adam Florence and Wilford “Dutch” Florence.
Her family greatly appreciates all the loving care she received from each of you special people at the “Village Healthcare Center” and thank you to Living Waters Hospice for your supportive care.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 1:00 PM, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.
