Lula Mae was born Sunday, April 16, 1944 in Palmetto, Georgia.
She loved spending time with her family and attending family events. She especially enjoyed cooking large meals for family gatherings. And she was someone who never complained.
She loved going to the casinos, especially Soboba and Morongo, and playing slots was one of her favorite pastimes.
Lula Mae was also a successful businesswoman. She worked as a cosmetologist for 30 years, and she owned her own hair salon, called The Royal Caprice in Michigan.
Surviving is sister, Martha Young, brother, Harry Slaughter, daughter, Teresa Harris, son, George Covington, daughter, Regina Patterson, son, Anthony Covington, son, Curtis Covington, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
