

Luther V Pillow 97, passed away peacefully January 11, 2020 in Hemet, CA. with loved ones by his side. He was born September 15, 1922 in Senath, Missouri. He graduated from Clarkton High School in 1941 and attended business school in St. Louis, Missouri before enlisting in the Army during World War II .
His greatest joy was sharing his life with his wife, Geraldine, for over 70 years and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Luther’s personal and business interest included;
He was co-owner if L and B Broadcasting company building the first radios station, KHSJ in 1958, serving the San Jacinto Valley where he was the radio engineer and D.J. Later in life he served as radio engineer for several radio stations in Riverside County.
For many years he was involved in Hemet Youth Baseball serving as a board member and coach.
He was a deacon in his church and operated a hand radio and owned his T.V. and radio repair business.
Luther loved working in his yard and was fascinated with computers and smart phones.
Mr. Pillow is survived by his daughters Linda and Debbie Pillow, his son David Pillow and his spouse Debbie, grandsons David Pillow and Christopher Pillow and his spouse Betty, granddaughter Abby Reddinger and great grandchildren Noah, Presley, Oakleigh and Tennessee.
Luther was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine and youngest child Sher Pillow.
Services will be at Riverside National Cemetery on February 5, 2020 at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Hemet Youth Baseball Program.
