A twenty-two year resident of Hemet, Peggy was described as a beautiful very charismatic lady who never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild & 1 "adopted" teenager.
She was an artistic person who enjoyed ceramics, needlepoint, cake decorating and macramé who gave the handmade gifts freely to friends and relatives. She came from a very loving family and learned to sing from her mother and father. From the time she was born, her parents would sing at home and in the car. Her singing came naturally and the neighbors were always commenting on how they would enjoy listening to her singing while she would be doing her housework.
She was a Christian lady who was very involved in the church youth groups while she lived in Norwalk and Auburn, CA. She also enjoyed bowling, The American Legion and the Amelia Earhart Business Club.
While her husband was on contract from Lockheed for two years each in Iran and Greece her Black hair and Olive Skin blended in with the native populations. This allowed her to go to the local bazaars with her girlfriends and get all the native discounts not normally offered to tourists. During these times she would sponsor gatherings about once a month in which other contract workers, not only from Lockheed but from other companies, would gather and they would have huge potlucks in their basement and connecting pool. These international gathers offered everyone a chance to get acquainted and enjoy and a variety of international foods. Although these gatherings were many years ago, these people, from around the world, have stayed in contact.
She died peacefully at her home under Hospice Care on October 31, 2013 with her husband, youngest son and daughter in-law at her side.
