Margaret Gloria Stephens

Margaret Gloria Stephens, 93 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at her home. She was born on Saturday, February 10, 1923 in Beaumont, Texas to James and Allie Modawell, and moved to Hemet from Monrovia, CA in 1955. Margaret is survived by her two children, Suzanne Foster and Roger Stephens, one grandson, Stephen (Casey) Foster, one nephew, Jim Modawell, and one niece, Laura Smith. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert A. Stephens, who passed away in 2004, her granddaughter, Shannon Foster, and her brother, James Modawell Jr.

Margaret felt her main purpose in life was to take care of her family and she enjoyed being a homemaker. She also volunteered her time at Hemet Hospital and as a Girl Scout Leader. She was also involved with Hemet Aglow Fellowship, a Christian Women's organization.

Margaret was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.

A Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at McWane Family Funeral Home, located at 350 N San Jacinto Ave. Hemet. The family will receive friends from 9 AM to 10 AM. Margaret will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery with her husband Robert. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Joyce Meyer Ministries, Operation Smile, the Ramona Humane Society in Hemet, or Music for the Soul.
