Age 88 of Hemet passed away in her sleep at Devonshire Care Center, Monday December 31, 2012 at 9:25 p.m. Marion graduated HUHS in 1942 along with her husband Barney Beaver. During WWII she worked at Ryan Air Field moving the airplanes from the runway, filing them up with gas and taking them back to the flight line. During the 1950's she was a secretary for a brief time for the Quarter Midget Association which started in Hemet and belonged to Valley Ramblers Square Dance Group. She worked in the early 60's as a Cafeteria Worker at Hemet Jr. High School and then in 1968 she became secretary for her family trucking business, De Anza Express for 25 years. She bowled on multiple bowling leagues from the early 1960's until her health changed at the age of 83.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Eugene and Christine Cross, her sister Doris Strother of Riverside (2012), Husband Barney Beaver (1995), Daughter Martha Stockton-Bartman (2006), Son-in-law Russ Bartman (2006)
She is survived by son Ron (Deborah) Beaver of Hemet, daughter Anita (Roy) Wallace of San Jacinto , Sisters Barbara (Tillman) Mayberry of Arizona and Shirley Gottula of Avalon, Grandchildren, Scott (Mary Lou) Beaver of Hollywood, Sean Beaver of Los Osos, Sugar Graham of Hemet, Stephanie (Derek) Vanderwaal of San Jacinto, Brandon (Michele) Wallace of San Jacinto, Erik Wallace of San Jacinto, Tim (Heidi) Stockton of Hemet, Nancy (Mike) Gates of Hemet, Mark (Jamie) Bartman of Hemet , Greg (Jessica) Bartman of Michigan, Cherie Sherman of Arizona and 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She left a legacy of love by her example, of doing for others first. Her family and friends are now left with many wonderful memories and we will all miss her very much. And for all of you that knew her love for baseball would probably agree, that the Angels and Dodgers have lost one of their faithful fans.
