She graduated from Mason City High School and afterwards worked for a while at the State Brand Creamery. Her first husband, Charles Rankin Jr. was killed during WWII. She then married Donald Secory from Clear Lake and moved with the family to Hawthorne, California around 1947 where they raised her son Ron. She lived in Hawthorne until her mid fifties.
Marge moved to Hemet with her husband Don, in 1975. She was working at the Bank of America before moving and continued her employment at B. of A. in Hemet. After 15 years she retired. She enjoyed playing Bunco with friends and participating in the Model "A" Ford Club outings. She also helped with Lions Club activities where her husband was a member. For many years, extending into her 80's, she volunteered at the Hemet Valley Medical Center. She always enjoyed visits from family, friends and grandchildren.
At the beginning of 2012, as additional health problems occurred, she moved to Lancaster to be near her grandchildren who would keep a watchful eye on her. Her final time in Lancaster was spent living at the Merrill Gardens retirement community where she enjoyed card playing and Bingo with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Evelyn Bailey, Gretchen Neumann, and brother Jack Weber. She is survived by her only son Ronald (Barbara) Secory of Georgia; grandson Brian (Julie) Secory of Lancaster, CA; granddaughter Kim (Jeff) Mathews of Saugus, CA, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
