

Marverine Bagstad, 87 of Hemet, California passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California. She was born on Tuesday, November 11, 1930, on a small farm near Villard Minnesota. Marverine was the daughter of the late Nels Harry Swenson and Fern Meyerdirk Swenson.
In her early years, Marverine loved to go dancing on Saturday nights and then roller skating on Sunday night at the Glenwood Lakeside Pavilion. In her early years, Marverine became an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her children. She liked to embroider and crochet. She was considered an excellent cook and every holiday the family would gather at her Long Beach home for a feast and a celebration. Her family and grandchildren were most important to her. Marverine's family describe her as quiet and reserved with strangers, but with family she was the life of the party with a great sense of humor.
Preceding her in death was her daughter Diane Bagstad and brother Wallace Swenson and grandson Adam Pittman. Surviving are her son Bruce (Karen) Bagstad, son Brett Bagstad, daughter Sandra Broadhurst, daughter Deborah Bagstad, daughter Georgie Bagstad, sister Jeannie Swenson, 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary, 1501 W Florida Ave, Hemet, California.
