Mary was the daughter of William and Violet Edmiston and was born August 19,1928 in in Sedalia, Missouri. Following WWII, she met and fell in love with Charlie Austin and they were married on June 4, 1948 at her big brother Bill's house. While in Missouri, they had their first daughter, Chery June on October 5, 1949 and on January 6, 1951 (yes, just 15 months later) Linda Diane arrived. They were both pleased to have two girls.
In 1953 they moved to California. Over the years they lived in Redondo Beach, Taft, Torrance, Glendora, San Dimas and Sunnyvale. Their last home together was at The Farm in WIldomar, Ca. where they became very involved in the FPOA and participated in all activities. They made great friends and many memories in 21 years of living there.
Charlie passed in 2014 and Mary moved to Murrieta. She missed him terribly and went to Heaven to be with him on November 24, 2021 where she celebrated Thanksgiving with him once again.
