Mary H. Crowell

Mary H. Crowell passed away on February 27, 2020 in Hemet, California. She was born on Tuesday, August 28, 1934 in Tipton, Indiana to her parents, Donald and Margaret Phillips. After graduating high school, she went on to marry the love of her life, Richard J. Crowell and went on to spend over 50 years as a married couple until Richard's passing in 2005. Together, Mary and Richard raised their family and ran a liquor store together for over 20 years. During their younger years, Mary and Richard enjoyed travelling. In her spare time, Mary loved shopping and decorating, especially for the holidays. She also enjoyed watching football and cheering on her favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. Mary was a phenomenal cook and had the best recipe for spaghetti and her special sauce. She loved working with students as a parent aide at Whittier Elementary. The students affectionately called her “ Mrs. C” and would jump at the chance to work with her. Mary loved her family more than anything and she will be missed by all that knew her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Phillips; her husband, Richard Crowell; her son, Rick Ravenoir; and her brother Robert Phillips. She is survived by her daughters, Sinda Jordan, Carol (Dale) Hummel, and Tami (Dan) Witham, five grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan) Amber, Matthew, Vince (Kristen), Jessie, and three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler and Trent; her sister Wanda (Steve) Smith, brother-in-law Jack Crowell (Anita) and 5 nieces.
