Mary Louise D'Amelio

Mary Louise D'Amelio, 86 of Hemet, California passed away quietly on Friday, September 25, 2015, at home in Hemet, CA . She was born Sunday, January 13, 1929 in Washington, District of Columbia and was the daughter of the late Timothy and Rose " Simms" O 'Neal. She was married to William D'Amelio for 33 wonderful years before he passed away on November 11, 2010. While living in Washington DC, she taught music and was asked to play at an event for then President Eisenhower and General Nimitz. Mary loved her three boys and referred to them many times as Timmy Toony from Tarzana, Butchy Boy and Baby Jack. She helped raise her grandson Adam and was a strong advocate in "grandparents raising grandchild", she also enjoyed being active with in the Red Hat Society in Hemet. Mary worked for over 20 years at UCLA before retiring. She also loved Frank Sinatra and would listen to his songs when given the opportunity. Living in Hemet, she liked to visit DJ's Restaurant for lunch where the staff considered her part of their family. Mary was a wonderful grandmother. Surviving are sons, Tim McShane and his wife Cindy, Jack McShane and his wife Kelly, and Robert McShane, grandchildren Adam, Matthew, Michael, Robert, and Katie, great grandchildren Gwyneth, Carter and Colin.
