When I seen this obituary , and seen the name Matt, it rang a door in my head...my Name is Roy, I use to play soccer with Austin, he was a very good soccer player,  his dad Matt would always attend every game, and would even drive me to practice  or the games, he was a good honest man that even tried to help my parents  get a house. How I remember him a cool dude, that loved his family... Austin my condolences to you and your family, brothers and mom. I was honored to be your friend, and honored to have met your dad. Man I just seen this right now I know I want to send my condolences to his family to his son my name is Roy best friend we used to play soccer together his dad Matt he still always drive us to practice into game his mom they're good people very good people they helped out my family a lot a lot I'm sorry to see you this great man go wow crazy sorry about that. Lit a candle in memory of Matthew S. Alderman

Lots of great memories of matt and his family. Lots of prayers for them. I love you always.

Matt was my eldest brother. I loved him very much and will miss him. He was always very protective of me and helped me through some of my worst times. I am happy that I was able to tell him just that; and thank him while he was alive.

Matt,  I loved you more than I even knew.  My heart will always be with you. I  miss you so much that it is hard to breathe.  I know you are in heaven now.  Remember me

Matt was a loving father and husband. He was a brother to me for 45 years. Our families have suffered a huge loss. We miss you.

Matt was my uncle. He was the epitome of a moral and hard working man. Growing up with him in my life, I always thought of him whenever someone said "the early bird...". I am grateful for the influence he had on my life although I never understood how it was possible for someone to love football so much. Growing up, and even living with his family for a while it was easy to see that the most important thing in his life was his family. He treasured his wife and children beyond all measure. I know in my heart that despite things that might have happened or been said towards the end of his life, that his deepest and truest wish would be for his family to turn to one another after his passing, and find an even stronger bond and love in each other.

I had the pleasure of having many heart felt conversations with Matt he was our patient and he just wanted to get well, he is thought of and the staff here at Bergey Spine Institute send our deepest condolences to his Family he loved to talk about you all that's when his smile would come through.

Matt,my family rented a house from you and lived in it for over a decade,you were the best landlord that anyone could ever ask for.every time we had an issue you had it fixed the next day.my wife and I were so sad to hear about your passing you will be missed.
