

Matthew Taylor Wayment, 39 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, April 22nd at his home in Hemet, California. He was born on December 20, 1979, and was the son of the late Dr. Lowell Tomas Wayment and Linda (Stratford) Wayment. He is survived by his brothers/sisters Michael Wayment, Thomas Wayment, Rebecca Wayment, Joshua Wayment, Sariah Wayment, and Emily Wayment.
Before graduating from Hemet High School in 1998 and participating as a varsity athlete in Wrestling and Football, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a strong academic and exceled at science and mathematics.
He served a LDS mission in Honduras San Pedro Sula Mission beginning in 1999 -2001. He then began on his journey toward a medical career and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Utah in 2003. He was accepted and graduated from the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine with a Medical Doctorate (M.D.) in 2006. Following graduation, he began a surgical residency at the University Of Louisville Hospital.
After 2008, he began practicing medicine in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley with the Hemet Valley Medical Center. He ran a rehabilitation clinic in the valley and served as the Medical Director for the Hemet Hospice. He was very creative often carving wood art, welding, manufacturing parts, building guns, and inventing solutions for problems. He loved serving in his church, camping, cars, Legos, and his beloved Tibetan Spaniels.
