Melvin Ray Berry, 82 of Menifee, California, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Highland Springs Care Center, in Beaumont, California. He was born Thursday, April 7, 1932 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina; he was the son of Willie Berry and Grace Saunders Berry.
Melvin served in the Army from 1954 until 1957.
Melvin was known as a hard working man, he absolutely loved his job at Herman Weissker Inc. He was with them for 39 years. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, waterskiing and Stockcar racing. Being the active man he was known for he once built his own house. His family remembers him as a very fair man, someone who touched many peoples lives. He truly loved his family.
Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann Jane; daughters, Linda Berry Specht, Diann Berry Fields and Donna Berry Edward; 10 grand children; 12 great grand children.
