

Mike was born in Paterson, New Jersey and he grew up in Oakland, New Jersey. He attended Indian Hills High School where he was a gifted athlete participating in football, wrestling, and track. He achieved his BS in Business Management from University of Phoenix.
His favorite activities included lots of quality family time, mountain biking, tennis, walking, hiking, he had a passion for cooking and enjoyed playing card games and the craps dice game at the casino. Mike loved his daily morning Starbucks coffee and afternoon tea. He loved playing tennis with his son Taylor. He loved long telephone conversations and hiking with his daughter Amanda. He enjoyed going out to the dessert with all of his siblings. Mike was loved by all he met for his big heart, quick wit, boundless energy, jokes, big hugs, his big blue eyes, contagious smile, and great love of life. He loved his home and cherished taking care of it. He had an amazing work ethic and worked for Olympus America in his home office. He loved his animals that his wife always brought home including three cats (Monkey, Johnny, Snow, and the newest puppy Boo).
Mike’s greatest accomplishment was his wonderful family whom he loved and cherished above all else. Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Julie of 27 years, son Taylor, daughter Amanda, and future son in law Tyler. He is also survived by his brother Henry and wife Marilynne, sister Cheryl and husband John, brother Steve and wife Lin, and sister Leslie. He was blessed with many wonderful nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother Robert.

In lieu of flowers, we would like to make a contribution to the Santa Rosa Plateau. The family is arranging a possible bench donation in Mike’s honor on a biking trail where he loved to mountain bike. A link will be shared with the service details.
