
Born Wednesday, November 12, 1952, he was the son of Francine Marshall. He was the husband of Tracie Steele-Marshall.
He served as a 1st sergeant in the Marine Corps from 1969 until 1994 where he earned many accolades and honors while serving 7 tours as a First sergeant. For 5 years, Unit infantry leader for 12 years, Parachute for 2.5 years, and a Drill instructor for 13. He was also a class leader in the Los Angeles Police department and a Federal Police officer at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Michael also served as the commandant at the Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad California for 10 years where he was an educator and motivated students to becoming their best. Michael was an avid cyclist and athlete as well as a natural motivator to everyone that knew him. Michael committed himself to his family and his community where he tirelessly served in the interest of others.
Michael is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tracie Lynn Steele-Marshall, children, Michael Eric Marshall, Sara Michelle Marshall, and Miles Gabriel Steele-Marshall, loved family member Beverly Marshall, and a host of family and friends. Michael was a brother, father, best friend, comrade, a service to his community, and the love of his wife’s life.
A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Miller-Jones Mortuary - Sun City located at 26770 Murrieta Road Menifee, California 92586.
Interment will be in Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, California at 1:00 PM on Thursday August 12th.
