It may well be true as the hymn writer has said in verse 3 of the song, "Holy, Holy Is What the Angels Sing," **Then the angels stand and listen, for they cannot join that song, Like the sound of many waters, by that happy, blood-washed throng.** But the children of God will also stop to listen to the angels. They have their own reasons for singing, ones that differ from ours. They have given themselves to the service of God Almighty. They have had a part in bringing in the kingdom of God. They have helped the children of God in difficult circumstances. So theirs shall be a shout and a song of victory. The cause they represent has been victorious; the fight they fought is finished; the enemy they met has been conquered; their wicked companion angels who fell shall vex them no more..."(pg51-52, Billy Graham, "Angels: God's Secret Agents". I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. As you prepare to lay them to rest; to sleep in death for just a little while (John 11:11) I hope your family will find solace in the resurrection promise of Jesus; to awaken those who are now sleeping in death (John 5:28,29) to restore them back to life; this time with the hope to live eternally on the renewed Paradise earth, so that God’s will, will be done on the earth, as it is in Heaven..-Matthew 6:9,10; Luke 23:43. Until that wonderful blessed promise is fulfilled, and you are reunited with your loved one again; may GOD(Psalms 83:18) soothe your grieving hearts now and grant you peace and comfort, during this most sadden time..-Matthew 5:4.
