Oliver "Moon" Evans, age 83, of Hemet, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011. Moon who was born in Ohio, lived in Hemet for 10 years. He worked as a supervisor for Parker-Hannifin. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, seaman first class. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, wood working. He enjoyed to help people and was a volunteer for Valley Restart. Moon will be truly missed by all who had the honor to have known him and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Twink Evans; children Rick (Patty) Evans, Vickie (John) Bucchino; siblings, Donald Evans, James Evans, Betty Evans; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary, Hemet. Services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10:00am, Valle Vista Assembly of God. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family requests any donations be made to Valley Restart.
