Richard Eugene Kendrick

Richard was born in San Bernardino, CA on August 22, 1947. He is preceded in death by his father, James Kendrick, and mother, Shirley (Stoike) Kendrick. Richard graduated from Rubidoux High School in 1965 and from San Bernardino Valley College in 1968. While at SBVC he met the love of his life, Kathy Jackson whom he married on May 22, 1971. Richard worked as a bookkeeper for Cook/Arthur Inc. for over 20 years before leaving to work with his brother, Charles Kendrick, at Experienced Tractor Parts before eventually retiring. Upon retiring he became very active in the community and church.

Richard and his wife Kathy raised their family in San Bernardino, CA. In his lifetime he had many accomplishments but nothing meant more to him than his family, friends, and faith.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy (Jackson) Kendrick, his son, Steven Kendrick (Terry Gonzales) of Hemet, CA, his daughter, Laura (Sam) Desopo of Havelock, NC; his brother, Charles (Susan) Kendrick of Riverside, CA and his two grandsons, Santino Desopo (Alison Gillaspy) of Temecula, CA and Matthew Desopo of Havelock, NC. Dick will also be forever remembered by his sister in law Birda Gaskin of Houston, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

Services for Richard Kendrick will be held at the Central Church of Christ, 575 S. San Jacinto St, Hemet CA 92543 at 6:00 pm on July 12, 2019.
