Robert Normand Marquis

Robert Normand Marquis, 77, loving father and husband of 54 years, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2015 at his home in Moreno Valley, California.

Robert was born June 18, 1937 in Lewiston, Maine to Octave "Bert" Marquis and Alice Marie Caron. He graduated from St. Dominic High School in Lewiston in 1955. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired in 1977 after 22 years of service both overseas and stateside. He continued his education and received an Associate in Arts degree from Riverside City College in 1979. He then spent the next 20 years working for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier, retiring in 1998. Robert married the former Patricia Louise Cybulski at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Easthampton, Massachusetts on 28 May 1960 and had three sons.

Robert was active in Little League, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

An avid traveler, Robert and his wife Patricia also enjoyed time spent with their family. Robert is survived by his wife Patricia; three sons, Ron, Paul, and Mike; four grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren, Caitlin, and Niklas; one great-grandson, Julian and his three daughter-in-laws, Nicole, Ramona, and Angelika. He was preceded in death by his parents Octave and Alice as well as his mother and father-in-law and various extended family members.
