Born Sunday, March 14, 1943 in Valpariso Zacatecas, Mexico, he was the son of the late Tomas Vargas and the late Maria Gallegos Vargas. Rodrigo worked in the dairy profession for over 35 years. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed the outdoors, loved his family and spending time with them but mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Rodrigo Vargas Jr., daughters, Teresa Vargas Suarez and Maria Cruz Vargas, brothers, Tomas Vargas, Adulfo Vargas, Sijifredo Vargas and Refugio Vargas, sisters, Amelia Vargas Banuelos, Obdulia Vargas Falcon, Santos Vargas Gallegos, Elvia Vargas Reyes, Teresa Vargas Vidales and Hilda Vargas Prieto, grandchildren Angela Suarez, Bethany Green (who passed away August 3, 2007), and David Suarez.
