

Ronnie E Crawford was born to the late Mary Maxine & Elvin Crawford on January 4, 1948 in San Francisco, California. Prior to both parents passing, Ronnie and his older sister Debra were raised and nurtured by their loving grandparents Joseph & Laversa Randolph. Grandmother Laversa was fondly called Babe.
At an early age Ronnie showed an interest in music and would later take professional music lessons eventually learning how to play the saxophone. As a teenager he began playing with several renowned bands in San Francisco, California and throughout The Bay Area.
Ronnie graduated from Washington High School in San Francisco, CA and went on to San Francisco City College and received an AA Degree in General Education. On Jan 18th 1968, he enlisted in the Unites States Army. Ronnie was Honorably Discharged on Jan 16, 1970. After two years of service he retired from the military and returned to San Francisco, California. On Jan 16th 1970 he was hired by the United States Postal Office. Ronnie was a dedicated and professional employee and held a number of positions during his forty-two years of service with this agency. While employed there he received many honors and awards.
Ronnie was baptized at Community Baptist Church where he was later ordained a Deacon. From there, he went on to teach Sunday School at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Following that, he served as a Deacon at the Baptist Church in Fremont and prior to relocating to Murrieta, California in July 2011, he and his wife Barbara were members of Golden Hill Baptist Church. Ronnie was on fire for Christ, he loved the Lord. Ronnie and Barbara's favorite pastime was traveling. During his lifetime he often shared fond memories with family and friends about their experiences to Europe, the Caribbean Islands, and numerous locations nationwide.
Ronnie's family describes him as a very vibrant, fun man. He enjoyed all sports, especially watching the San Francisco Giants' baseball games. His grandchildren are very dear to Ronnie, he took them everywhere a child would want to go. They have been to every amusement park you could think of. He loved to wrestle and tickle his grandbabies, they will always remember, "The Claw's gonna get you!".
Ronnie is survived by his loving, life long wife and soul-mate Barbara Ann Crawford; three children; Mrs. Amber Feliciano (Tito), of Murrieta, California, Anthony Foster (Crystal) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Michael Morris, of Antioch, California; 13 grandchildren; Autumn Carr, Tito Jr., Myles, & Kyle Feliciano, Richard, Joshua, Megan, Lea Ann ,Anthony Jr., & Klohe Foster, Pyper, Deja &Kennedi Morris; One sister Ms. Debra D. Johnson; many nieces and nephews; Beloved first cousin, Ms. Mary Lou Fleming, her husband Albert, daughter Lena, and granddaughter, Aleacha.
