Ruth, known as Ruthy to most, and nana to her family, entered the safe and loving arms of her Savior on Oct 30,2024. She was 81 years old.
Ruthy unexpectedly passed away in her home.
Ruthy was born on Feb.16,1943 in Oak Park, Illinois. Her parents were Lewis and Ruth Case. She was married to her late husband, Denny Norris, aka, papa for 57 years before God called him home on August 15, 2021.
She is survived by her husband John Roger Meyer of 1 year, her four children, Denny R Norris and wife Arlene, Tami McGuire and husband Matt, Tom Norris and wife Maria and Debbie Baker and husband Jason.
Also survived by her 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, 3 bonus children, 7 bonus grandchildren and 4 bonus great grandchildren and her sister Ginni Anderson.
Ruthy served faithfully as a pastor's wife for 20 years in Illinois, Nebraska, and South Dakota and as a missionary with Athletes in Action, A division of Campus Crusade for Christ, for over 32 years alongside her late husband Denny.
Ruthy was a loving wife and devoted mother. Her love for her family was endless. As a wife she did mostly “behind-the-scenes" jobs, without much recognition from the outside world. Her husband was truly grateful for all that she did. She made his job easier.
As a mother and wife, she was compassionate, loving, nurturing, tenderhearted, affectionate and full of surprises. Her greatest joys in life were serving her Savior and caring for her husband and children.
In Ruthy's younger years she worked as a telephone operator, Candy striper in the hospitals, and worked for the FBI. Once Ruthy was married she was able to stay home and raise their children.
Ruthy gave her life to Jesus at the young age of 9 years old and served him faithfully and with her entire heart.
There will be a celebration of her life on Nov 16,2024 at 1:00pm at Cornerstone church located at 26089 Girard St in Hemet, CA.
