Samuel is a veteran of the Army Air Force in WWII. After his bomber was shot down in the Ploesti Raid, he was a POW for the remainder of the war. At home he had a long and successful career selling automobiles. The trust he built with his customers referred their friends and some would travel considerable distance so that he could help them with their purchase. He was a "Tennessee Gentleman" that loved to talk to people. After retiring he moved to the Inland Empire and filled his hours as a card dealer so that he could continue to chat with people.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, and son, Sam Harrell.
Services are pending at this time. Interment will be held privately in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
