Shellye Lynn Benjamin

Shellye Lynn Benjamin went to be with the Lord at the age of 56, on Friday, September 25, 2020, in Hemet California. She was born Sunday, February 16, 1964 in San Diego, California, to her lovely parents Bennie Herron and Patricia Herron. She attended Lincoln High School and later San Diego City College.

Shellye was married to her best friend and the love of her life, Aubrey Benjamin, for 32 years, and were blessed with 3 beautiful daughters that later would make her a devoted grandmother. Shellye was the life of the party. From her sharp wit and spunk, she would light up the room with her laughter and jokes. She was a phenomenal, classy, funny, strong woman. A true diva full of energy, always making sure she was dressed in her finest attire from head to toe. Shellye was a woman with many interest, from interior design, fashion, baking and cooking with her grandbabies, her family and friends were her passion;loved them dearly to the moon and back.

Shellye is survived by her husband Aubrey Benjamin; Her daughters, Jessica Rogers (Dorel Roux), Jasmine Rogers and Khadijah Benjamin; 7 precious grandchildren D’Asia, Brookyln, Nailah, James, Marley, Tyrese and Tayshawna: her siblings Lashawn, Tracy, LaTaunya and Bennie Jr.; Her best friend Gloria; Her beautiful nieces and nephews, who were her joy.

She was preceded in death with her mother, Patricia Herron and grandson Derrick Jordan
