

Stanley Joseph Hicks, age 60, was called home to his heavenly father on December 28, 2014. Stanley was born on March 1, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri to Charlie Frank Hicks and Alberta Robinson. He lived in Omaha, Nebraska where he attended Conestoga Elementary School and graduated from Omaha Technical High School. From 1973-1976, he served in the United States Army as part of the infantry. Upon release, he received an honorable discharge, and began working as n entrepreneur until finally taking a position at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. He retired from the VA Hospital in Loma Linda in September 2014.
On September 28, 1996. Stanley married Claudia Pulido. Those that knew him knew of his love and passion for collecting rare music. He was often referred to as the CEO of "Oldies Anonymous" and always wanted to be the sixth member of the Temptations. Growing up, he loved drawing and cartoons. Stanley also had an effortless ability to make others laugh and even was known for giving many of the family nicknames. Stanley was a God-hearing man and raised his family to follow the Lord. He and his family are members of the Northside Church of Christ in Riverside, CA.
He was preceded by his father: Charlie Frank Hicks, and step father James Williams, Jr. He was survived by his wife Claudia Hicks, and step children Chastity Holmes, Candice Hicks, Deshaun Lynch, Stanley Hicks, Jr. and Shemar Tyrese Hicks. His three brothers: Charlie Hicks Jr., Kenneth Hicks, and Anthony Hicks, his seven sisters: Anetha Smith, Brynndah Hick-Turnbo, Phullis Bannat, Jeannette Mack, Kymberleigh Hicks, Regina Williams, and Doneyll Williams. Brother-in-laws, James Smith, and Johnny Mack; Siter-in-laws, Toy and Vanessa Hicks. Mother-in-law, Maria Carmen Pulido; Brother and Sister-in-laws, Alberto and Marth Talanco, Marcos and Mary Pulido, Jose and Maria Carmen Perez, and Jose and Esperanza Delgado, and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
