Steven Michael Ruiz, age 70, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Hemet, CA. Steve was born to Ruby Ruiz in San Jacinto, CA on Wednesday, June 5, 1946. Steve proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and shared stories of his time as a proud soldier defending our country. He enjoyed making people laugh, liked "Oldies" music, and entertaining family and friends with his delicious Bar-B Que. Steve was a sports enthusiast with his favorite teams being Los Angeles Raiders, Los Angeles Dodgers, and USC Trojans. Steve is survived by his son, Steve Ruiz; daughter, Sarah Cook; several grandchildren: brothers, Ron Ruiz, Leo Ruiz, Johnny Boy Ruiz, Danny Boy Ruiz, and Dave Ruiz; sisters, Fran Murphy, Rose Padilla, and Lola Waiau; , and many extended family and friends. Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside, CA 92518.
Steve touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know him and who loved him.
