He was the husband of Barbara O'Connor and they were married for 53.5 years. Terry grew up on the beach in Long Beach and really loved the ocean. He was employed by GTE/Verizon for 33 years and served as a SP3 in the Army from 1954 to 1957. Terry loved all sorts of animals but especially wolves. He had pictures of wolves and many wolf collectibles in his den, as well as numerous shirts with pictures of wolves. Terry enjoyed all sports but his favorite teams were the Dodgers and the UCLA Bruins. He was good with his hands and loved to shop in hardware and hobby stores. He could restore anything and was considered "Mr. Fix-it" by his family. Why buy something new when Terry could tinker with it to make it work? He made models of ships, planes and even restored an airplane prop for his son-in-law. Terry had a great sense of humor and would often entertain the family with giant chicken jokes. He was very involved with kids by coaching softball and baseball teams, including the Hemet Baseball league, and he lead children's church programs. He was an active member of the Hemet Church of the Nazarene. His family describes him as honorable, loving, funny, loyal, reserved and honest.
