He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He moved to California in 1957 and soon went to work for the Southern California Rapid Transit District as a Diesel Mechanic Leader; he retired after 30 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Diltz.
Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Louise; daughter, Dawn Fitzgerald; sons-in-law, John Fitzgerald and Robert Diltz; 2 grand children, Christy Milroy and Rachel Diltz and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 23rd in the Miller-Jones Sun City chapel at 26770 Murrieta Road Sun City, California 92585. Inurnment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
