Marie graduated from Broadwater County High School in Townsend, Montana in 1959 when her family lived near Toston. Marie lived most of her adult life in the Helena area. On November 27, 1965, she married Jon Schwefel in Helena. Some years later, following the end of their marriage, Marie returned to school and became a hair stylist for a number of years, working at Brenda’s Beauty Shop. When her health made hair styling a challenge, she worked a number of office jobs in Helena prior to her retirement, including positions with the Department of Health & Human Services, Montana Veteran’s Affairs Division, and the Social Security Administration.
Cremation has taken place and Marie’s final resting place will be amongst her preceded family members at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman, Montana, at a date yet to be determined.
These verses are precious to Marie and her family, we hope you will find comfort in them as well. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest,” Matthew 11:28; “Under his wings you will find refuge,” Psalm 91:4; and “I am with you always, even unto the consummation of the world,” Matthew 28:20.
