

Verah Elizabeth Collingsworth Huso, 77, of Sun City, passed away February 4, 2016 at 07:29 pm, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 25, 1938, in Wichita Fall, TX. Verah was the fourth child of Leroy Edgar and Esther Verah (Crews) Collingsworth. On April 6, 1960, in Joplin Missouri, she married Mr. Lloyd David Huso of Joice Iowa, who survives her.
Verah spent her formative years in Wichita Falls, before attending Union College in Lincoln Nebraska. She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist church all her life.
Verah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and David enjoyed spending all of their time together traveling, watching sports and working. She was an excellent homemaker, pround Texan and avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
The last 20 years Verah lived in Southern California near two of her daughters. She worked at the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage as a Aministrative Sales Associate. She had many great long time friends.
In addition to her husband, Verah is survive by her three aughters, Verah Francelle Lofton ( Terrance), Lori Elizabeth Skeoch (Graydon), Cynthia Lynn Eldenburg (Curtis), Two brothers, Wallace B. Collingsworth and Robert U. Collingsworth. Also, nine grandchildren: Nancy Verah Cimiano (sean), Andres Eloy Sequera, Jr. (Grace), Natalie Elizabeth Skeoch, Nathan Wallace Skeoch, Rachel Cynthia Huso, Chelsey Nicole Huso, Emily Lynn Huso, Olivia Jean Salvador, Cameron Mitchell Salvador; and four great grandchildren: Verah Kathryn Alin Cimiano, Evan Michael Lloyd Cimiano, Kaley Teagan Sublett and Francisco Augusto Reyes.
Verah lived her life looking for the soon return of Jesus. One of her many favorite bible verses was II Timothy 4:6-8, 6. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that ay: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
A memorial celebration will be held for Verah when all the family and friends can be together. More information to follow.
