

Walter Floyd DeWick, age 80 of San Jacinto, CA, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence. Walter was born July 3, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Marvin DeWick and Rose Ann (Lee) DeWick. He served in the Navy and Air Force during the Korean War. Walter was an Electrical Engineer for North American Rockwell for 27 years. He had a great sense of humor and was known to pull a practical joke on someone every now and then. One of his hobbies which he enjoyed was restoring old vintage cars. He was a wonderful family man who enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Elenor DeWick; sister Shirley and Dr. (Joseph) Rodney of Torrance, CA; 5 children Alvin & (Gail) Johnson of Milner, GA; Tammie Ropchak of Hemet, CA; Denise Smith of Hemet, CA; Katherine & (Harold) Dills of Cypress, CA; Charles DeWick of San Jacinto, CA; 16 grandchildren Pennie Johnson; Michael Johnson; Tracey Johnson; Wayne Johnson; Mandy Chado; Misty Scott; Christopher Ropchak; Kristina Dills; Charity Jordan; Michael Ropchak; Joshua Smith; Graham Mayo; Kimberly Ropchak; Kayla DeWick; Jessica Senatro; Kyle DeWick and 16 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Hemet.
