Bill passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Fontana, CA Kaiser Permanente. He was born 75 years ago, after his twin sister Shirley, on Saturday, September 12, 1936 in Chicago IL. They were the pride and joy of the late William and Eloise Johns. He was married to Judith Johns for 47 wonderful years.
Bill was in the medical field for over 55 years. His medical career culminated by being the last medical equipment planner, for the UCLA Ronald Regan Hospital. Bill was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He did background, with Clint Eastwood, in the movie Dead Pool. Bill's work ethic was legendary. His entrepreneurial ways started, in early childhood, when he made deliveries with his little red wagon. He loved jazz music, and played string bass in his own group, The Bill Johns Combo. Herbie Hancock was not good enough, at the time, to play with him. He traveled the world with his wife, and lived a very blessed life. Parties of celebration will take place in the near future.
