Willie Ray Farr

Willie Ray Farr Sr. was born to the late Joshua Polk Farr II and Jessie Mae (Martin) Farr, in Orange, Texas, on October 22, 1948. He was the beloved husband of Annie Pearl (Bryant) Farr for over 45 years, his forever "girlfriend." They enjoyed an extraordinary love.

He served his community as a correctional officer, security head of several firms, body guard to several movie stars, private investigator, and financial recovery specialist, and youth counselor.

As a youth he was athletic and played football in high school and college. He practiced self-defense/karate. He enjoyed a good game of chess and cards. He was an amateur magician and was known to be playful and loved to tell jokes. He was an avid reader, bible scholar, and was always studying a new subject. He created poems and enjoyed working with his hands to create drawings and wood work. He learned to play pool as early as 9 years old. He became a professional pool player and was an active member of the American Pool Association (APA). His friends referred to him as "One Pocket Willie."

On Saturday, April 12, 2014, he passed away peacefully with his loving wife and family surrounding him. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Joshua Polk Farr II, Jessie Mae Farr, baby Jessie, Doris Esther Roberts, Joshua Polk Farr III, and Arlene Kelly.

To forever cherish his memory is his beloved wife: Annie Pearl Farr.

His children: Rayann Markeisha Farr, Willie Ray Farr Jr.,Monnelle Anjalieshe Farr, and Shaune' Kiki Hall.

His grandchildren: Brandon Joshua' Smith, Cheyenne Summer Smith, Patrick Kelly Farr, Donovan LeRoy Farr, Myles Thomas Farr, Zharra Farr, Perris James, Starre' James, Kaycee James, MiaCorren Farr, Joy Michelle Lett, Christen Nicole Lett, AaylaSharay Louder, and Ayana Smith.

His siblings: Helen Ruth Jones, Horace Farr Sr., Darnell Farr, Charles Edward Farr Sr., Flossie Mae Smalley, Bessie Mae Farr, and Brenda Joyce Farr.

He is also cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as the countless souls he touched with his own.
