It's been six months and a few days since you left this earth. You were absolutely a one-in-a-million doctor and leader. No one understands why you were taken. We never will. But there will never be another like you. May you be at peace in heaven.

Dr. Stark was always nice to my children when they were sick or hurting he will be deeply missed.  I didn't realize he  had passed until a friend just told me today.  I only saw him in urgent care. Peace be with his family.

I met Jay in Mempham High School.  We were good friends at the time. We played hearts and spades during lunch. Although I lost touch with him when we went off to college,I still have many fond memories.

You can come and be with Frank and I and we will be there for you but I'm sure you have so may friends in Syracuse area. Its been a week and it still just doesnt seem real. Working with you the past 3 years has been an honor Starky. We were just talking about your giants game and you were so excited to go. I was trying to convince you to take me and thought I almost had you sold :) We will miss you deeply at the MGUC we are our own little family. I worked with dr stark occasionally at urgent care a few years back. I worked in the X-ray dept and he would stop in to drop off an order for an exam and was always so pleasant and very personable. He was always smiling and so wonderful to his patients. He always seemed to love his job and will be missed by many. God bless his family and I know you will always have wonderful memories of him.

Dear Fran, I'm truly sorry to read about Jay's sudden passing. It was an honor to meet him at our high school reunion. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dr. Stark I will always remember you for your uniqueness. The patience you always had, and your unending wealth of knowledge, not just for the medical field, but in life. I honestly learned something new every day I worked with you. We'll remember your ties and how every day you came to work and smiled. What will always stay with me, however, is how you would walk into each and every pt's room and say "Hi, my name is Dr. Stark. What may I help you with today?" We all knew that you and Fran had such a special bond and a true, deep love and respect for each other. Not many people achieve that in life - to marry their best friend. Always planning and looking forward to your next adventure. Thankyou so much for being the person you were and for sharing little bits of your life with us. We always enjoyed looking at the photos you would bring in for us to look at after your vacations. Thankyou for all your time and devotion. I will miss you always. You were one in a million. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Stark and the family.  Dr Stark will be greatly missed.  His crosswords, adventures and good advise. When asked a question he never just gave an answer but always the reasoning behind.  He was a intelligent man. The world has lost a great person.

My sincere condolences to the Stark family.  I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Stark on a few different occasions at North Medical Urgent Care.  He was a very knowledgeable and personable man.  He will be missed greatly.  Rest in peace Dr. Stark.

 I am so sorry for the passing of Jay. I know Fran how happy the two of your were.I still think back 21 years ago when Jay took care of Christine and how kind and gentle he was with her.My prayers are with you and your girls.

I was very shocked to hear of Dr. Stark's sudden passing.  I just went to him a couple of times and could tell that he was skilled and compassionate.

 A shock to see the loss of such a great doctor and caring person. We have to thank Dr. J for so much - for finding signs of something very serious and following through to save my husband for the past 15+ years to totally recover from total stomach removal for cancer. Always felt comfortable and welcome in the Chittenango Office. Jay always spent time unhurried and to make you feel informed. We were sorry to lose him from practice in our area and he will be greatly missed. Our sincere condolences.

Dr. Stark was not only a selfless human being but also an advocate for his patients. A guiding light, mentor, and friend to his staff, especially to me. Even in the worst situations, he always had a positive outlook. Fran, I am truly honored and blessed to have worked along side him for the past 5 years. "Starkie" was always so excited to plan his family trips whether they were near or far and came back beaming with happiness of the places he's seen with photos to share. Even if he made a mess eating popcorn and made the whole office smell like salmon, I would welcome those things any day. It's going to be very hard to function without him but I promise you, I will carry his beliefs with me in my nursing practice every day. He will live on forever. Sass

Fran, all of his roomates from Downstate are shocked, I heard from Jim Lawless.  Anything I can do let me know.  So glad we got together for John Mellancamp years ago.  Will always remember his gentle ways.

Dr. Stark was a very kind man and he cared about his patients...he will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Dr. Start's family.  I was a patient of his in Chittenango and he was my favorite family physician.  He always took time to answer all of my questions and gave me many pointers to help me be pro-active about taking care of my health.  What a treasure he was! I am thankful he was my doctor.

He was a wonderful caring doctor. I thank him for helping me with all three of my children from birth. All the after hours calls and weekends that he wouldn't hesitate to call you back night or day.Heaven must of need and angel.

I was so shocked to hear of Jay's death.  Knowing Jay for a short period of time, I always found him to be down to earth, very caring and pleasant.   Although he was never my physician,  I know he had a great reputation in the Chittenango community.   Many have told me of his skill and compassion for his patients and had a great rapport with him.  His death will be a great loss to the medical community and to all who loved him.   My heartfelt sympathy is extended to Fran and family.

I am a radiographer at North Medical and worked with Dr. Stark many evenings.  It was such a joy working with him. He always brought our nursing staff a bag of trail mix or peanut M&M's... kinda his trademark.  I am grateful for knowing Dr. Stark and having the privilege of working with him.  He will truly be missed.  
  I also want to express my sincere condolences to the family.  I am so sorry for your loss.
