Some of his employers were Boeing, Rohr, McDonnell Douglas, and Lockheed. His work consisted of programming parts for aircraft and the space shuttle. While serving in Korea as Navy corpsman, assigned to the Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict, he was the recipient of the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts, with Combat V. An avid golfer, he loved watching and participating in golf tournaments. At age 70, and at age 80, on his birthday, he jumped out of an airplane. He was a gymnast in high school. He loved music, especially Bob Dylan, attending many of his concerts.
Travel was his passion; enjoying life to the fullest, experiencing a thirst for knowledge and adventure. Al was a compassionate man, always thinking of others before himself.
