Aurora Barrera

Aurora Barrera 88 yrs died May 24, 2012 peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family after along battle with Dementia. she was born Nov 05,1923 in Hanover New Mexico to Casiano and Jesus Calderon. The Calderon family then relocated to Deming, New Mexico where she met and married the love of her life Francisco Barrera they were blessed with 11 children that she loved with all her heart. The young family moved to Escondido California until the children were all grown up. They then decided to retire back to Deming, New Mexico to live out the remainder of their happy life together. In April 22, 2000, the love of her life passed away. She was unable to recover from the loss, so she moved to Henderson NV to be closer to her daughters. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Family Home Hospice. Aurora is survived by her 11 children, Eziquia Richarte,Teresa Barrera, Manuel Barrera, Juan Barrera, Mike Barrera, Margaret Ibarra, Frances Shear, Mary Lorenzano, Cristina Ibarra, Frankie Barrera, Robert Barrera, 28 grandchildren, 22 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012 beginning at 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Funeral Mass will be held May 30, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015, Interment will follow May 30, 2012 at 12:00 pm, the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV 89005.
