

Bobby Ray Erwin, age 79, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1945, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to his parents, Glen Erwin and Anna Mae Good. In his early years, the family relocated from Kentucky to Bandon, Oregon, to Toledo, Ohio, before settling in Chicago, Illinois. While attending high school at Austin High School, he would meet his future wife, Janet, in 1962.
Following high school, Bob would enlist in the US Army in September of 1965. He would serve two tours in Vietnam, serving in Cam Rahn Bay. Bob was honorably discharged in 1968, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.
Bob loved animals, which would lead him in the direction of owning his own business. He owned and operated a dog grooming company for many years until finally deciding to retire. His new life would bring him closer to his wife, Janet. On November 29, 2017 the couple would be married, blending their lives and families.
Bob enjoyed many hobbies and interests throughout his life. He liked country music and oldies music, especially Elvis. In his early years, he would dance with Janet at school dances, singing in her ear. In his later years, he continued to sing with her in the car. He and Janet also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii.
Bob was a diehard fan of NASCAR, his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. Bob never missed a race, and even went to see the Haulers on the strip and to a race. Additionally, Bob was also an a competitive bowler.
In his latter years, although he continued to follow his Nascar, Bob also liked spending time in the casinos playing slot machines. He had an interest in precious stones and watched Jewelry TV, and enjoyed loved eating Pizza.
Bob lived his life to the fullest. He was kind, generous, and gentle soul and will truly be missed.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Janet Diviscour; his daughters from his previous marriage: Glenda Baksh (Gib) and Sarah Elizabeth Graska (Jeff); his siblings: Louise Barbara Reitz, and Judy Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Erwin; his mother, Anna Mae Good; his brother, Kenneth Erwin; his sisters: Evelyn Bazan (Frank) and Betty Erwin who passed as a baby; and two brothers-in-law: Wally Reitz and Ernest Johnson.
A memorial service with military honors will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
