
She was the daughter of Harold and Pauline Sharp.
Carolyn graduated from Adrian High School in Michigan, received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. Carolyn taught for twenty-four years of which most was in Special Education.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert McDonald, son Steven McDonald and sister Joan Woodward.
A son Mark McDonald and brother John Sharp survived Carolyn, along with four grandchildren, Carolyn Hafen, Danette Hafen, Robert S McDonald, and Christine Ehinger Carolyn had seventeen great grandchildren.
Carolyn lived in Michigan until her retirement in 1991 at which time she moved to Las Vegas.
She was active in First Presbyterian Church (now Grace Presbyterian). Services to the church included, Presbyterian Women, Deacon, Five Loafs, Amazing Grace, Ushering and various sewing groups. Also, she was active in PEO teachers’ group.
No local services are planned. She will be buried in Palmyra Cemetery in Michigan at which a private family grave side service will occur.
Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church Deacons (Las Vegas) or the Heart Association.
