She was born in Montana and relocated to Nevada where she met her husband and raised her family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and various other hobbies. She had a deep love of animals and had many pets over the years. A common phrase one would hear over the years in her household was, "Colleen when I die, I hope I can come back as one of your pets!" She was known for her kindness to all people and animals and a no non-sense attitude towards life.
She leaves behind her husband Berry Causey, daughters Deanna Pavlov, Laurie Causey, son-in-law Viktor Pavlov and grandchild Ivan Pavlov.
