David's father died at the age of 48 and left his mom with four young children. David and his brothers quickly had to start working to help support the family.
Upon graduating from high school, David entered the landscape and tree trades. In 1957, he received a certificate from Rutgers University in landscape design and maintenance. At the age of 25, David left New Jersey, bound for Pocatello, ID. There he would receive his Bachelor of Education from Idaho State University. Later, he would go on to earn his master's degree from Northern Arizona State in Flagstaff, AZ.
After graduating college, David was hired by Clark County School District to teach 6th grade in Las Vegas, NV. He taught there for over 30 years. While teaching, David met the love of his life, Margaret Miller. After dating for a year, David and Margaret were married on June 8, 1970. They remained married for 54 years until Margaret went home to be with the Lord.
During their time together, they loved to travel, but most of all loved to serve the Lord. They were passionate about showing the love of Christ to everyone they encountered. David loved fishing in Alaska on the Kenai River. He also loved working with youth and spent 15 years as a Scout leader.
In 1981, while attending the Episcopal Church, David heard the Lord call him to pursue Holy Orders. He was Ordained a Priest in 1983. David left the Episcopal Church and joined the Charismatic Episcopal Church in 1995. There, David would serve as Rector of St. Paul's Church for 17 years.
On March 10, 2025, David was called home to be reunited with our Heavenly Father and the love of his life, Margaret. The impact that David had on so many lives will never be forgotten. He was an example to so many, especially his Son in the Lord, Bishop Chris Moran.
David leaves behind his brother Paul, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He will be missed dearly by his church family, whom he loved and cared for throughout his many years of service and ministry. May his soul rest in peace.
