Dorothy Rodgers

She was a 1964 graduate of Basic High School and then attended beauty school. Dorothy was a hairdresser for 50+ years and opened Migi’s Magic Mirror Salon on Water Street in 1977. After she sold Migi’s, she worked at several salons in Henderson. Her “ladies” were a big part of her life, and she enjoyed her work and the relationships she built with her clients.

Dorothy married Rick Rodgers in 1977. They enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, rides on their Harley Davidson trike, weekend get aways in Mesquite and Laughlin and hosting weekly family dinners.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Cleofas and Amalia “Molly” Sena, brothers; Frankie, Earnest, Alfonso, and Ignacio “Nash,” sisters; Patsy and Rosemary “Cookie” and husband Rick Rodgers.

Dorothy is survived by her children; Mike Johnson (Stephanie), Gina Berkley (Rich), Eugene Rodgers (Jennifer) and Mike Rodgers (Linda), brother; Henry “Hank” Sena (Jeanne), sister; Josie Harling (Ted), grandchildren; Harli Gearhart, Z Berkley, Ashley Rodgers, James Rodgers and Richard Rodgers, great grandchildren; Oaklee, Ryder, Chris, Grey and Milani, and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held in January with details to soon follow.
