
Edwin Maceo Warder was born to Edwin and Virginia Carson on April 3, 1933. Edwin spent the first six years of his life in the Los Angeles area. In 1939 his mother married Edward Warder, they then moved to San Bernardino, California. His mother, father, and stepfather have all preceded him in death. Lois Finley, his only sister, preceded him in death August 2005.
Edwin attended Sturgess Jr. High in San Bernardino. After Jr. High School the family moved to Pottstown, Pennsylvania where he attended and graduated from Pine Forge Academy High School. After High School Edwin returned to San Bernardino, there in 1951 he joined the United States Navy until 1955 and received an honorable discharge. After his 4 years in the Navy, Edwin began his 41-year career with the Santa Fe Railroad, where he retired in 1992.
In 1988 Edwin and Patricia McGee were married. In 1992 the couple moved to Henderson, Nevada. Edwin, who is lovingly known as Ed or Bubba, appreciated the serene sounds of jazz, all types of jazz. He loved woodworking; he enjoyed working with his hands, and he always looked forward to a good cigar! He spent many tranquil hours doing the things that he loved.
Those left to cherish him in memory are his wife Patricia Warder, two sons, Desmond Chaney of San Bernardino and Edwin Carson Jr. of Northern California; seven daughters, Cassandra Adams and La Nee King of Rialto, CA, Carmen Carson, Edwina Warder, and N.J. Adams of San Bernardino, CA, Wanda McGee of Henderson, Nevada, and Amy Miller of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.
