

Emerson Leonard Leber, age 79, of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Dave was born, Emerson Leonard Leber on November 11, 1943 in Bellevue, Ohio to his parents Leonard Edward Leber and Mary Idella (Ickes) Leber. Raised in Ohio, Dave would graduate from high school and worked his family farm in Bellevue, Ohio until he enlisted in the USMC at age 20.
Dave worked as an Ammo Technician, in the Marine Corps. He was eventually deployed to Vietnam where he would serve honorably during the war. After his tour in Vietnam, Dave was then stationed at MCAS Air Station El Toro, in Southern California. Through his hardwork and dedication he was honorably discharged as a Corporal and awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, and a Good Conduct Medal.
After being stationed in Southern California , he decided to make it his permanent home where he lived in Anaheim until retiring to Bullhead City, AZ in 2006. He retired as a Dye Mount Operator from Stone Container Corporation in Fullerton, California after 38 years.
Dave enjoyed collecting trains and trinkets, fishing, taking Sunday drives, sitting on the patio stargazing, movies, and Ohio State Football. He never met a stranger, and was always quick with a joke to make you laugh, and maneuvered life with a sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Edna LaGolia and their dog, Corky; daughter, Jeani and her husband, Andrew Patten of Crestline, California; his son Jeff; stepsons: Robert and Donald Armstrong; stepdaughter, Debra Carmichael; granddaughters: Amber Lane and Staci Ayala, whom he and Edna also raised as their own; plus 8 more grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dave also shared his life with his brothers: Russel, Richard and Louis, sister, Shirley Siesel; and stepson, Michael Armstrong who preceded him in death.
A service of honor for Dave will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 1:20 PM to 1:50 PM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV.
A Celebration of life will follow the honors service at the home of Dave and Edna, in Bullhead City, at 5:15 PM.
